Job Description :
CGI is seeking enthusiastic Apprentices, particularly Java Freshers, to join its dynamic development teams. This role provides an excellent entry point into the IT industry, offering hands-on experience in building and enhancing high-quality applications. Apprentices will learn to write clean, efficient code, assist in design, development, and testing, and participate in code reviews. Working closely with senior developers, they will gain valuable mentorship, contribute to real-time projects, and stay updated with industry trends in a collaborative and supportive environment
Minimum Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree (e.g., BCA, B.Sc. IT, B.Tech/BE in Computer Science or related fields) from a recognized institution for freshers, often with a foundational understanding of programming concepts, particularly Java.
Job function: Apprentice Role – Java
Skills/experience:
- Core Java Fundamentals: Strong understanding of Java programming concepts, including OOP, data types, control structures, and basic libraries.
- Problem-Solving & Logic: Demonstrated ability to approach problems systematically, think critically, and develop logical solutions.
- Data Structures & Algorithms (DSA): Basic knowledge of common data structures (arrays, lists, maps) and algorithms.
- Database Basics: Familiarity with relational databases (e.g., SQL queries, basic table design concepts).
- Object-Oriented Programming (OOP): Clear understanding of OOP principles like inheritance, polymorphism, encapsulation, and abstraction.
- Version Control (Git/SVN): Exposure to version control systems, with Git being highly preferred, for collaborative development.
- Communication Skills: Good verbal and written communication skills to articulate technical concepts and collaborate effectively.
- Eagerness to Learn & Adapt: A strong curiosity, proactive attitude, and willingness to quickly grasp new technologies and adapt to project requirements.
- Academic Projects: Experience from academic projects demonstrating practical application of programming skills, especially in Java.
Responsibilities:
- Write clean, efficient, and well-documented Java code.
- Assist in the design, development, and testing of new features and applications.
- Debug and resolve technical issues.
- Participate in code reviews and team meetings.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and deliver new features.
- Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies.

Education requirements:
- Bachelor’s of Engineering degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
