Job Description :
Clearwater Analytics is hiring Freshers for the Lead Reconciliation Associate role, responsible for ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of investment portfolio data for clients. This involves reconciling transactions and holdings from external providers using Clearwater’s web-based system. Associates investigate and resolve discrepancies, communicate effectively with clients and data providers, and contribute to process improvements. The role requires meeting daily deadlines for data review and updates, applying financial and accounting concepts, and using problem-solving skills to maintain data integrity and client satisfaction.

• Bachelor’s degree in a finance-related or analytical field and a basic understanding of investment, financial, and accounting concepts.

Skills/experience:
- Foundational Finance & Accounting Knowledge: A basic to intermediate understanding of investment, financial, and accounting concepts (e.g., balance sheets, income statements, different security types).
- Attention to Detail: Meticulousness and accuracy in reviewing and processing large volumes of financial data to identify discrepancies.
- Problem-Solving Abilities: Strong analytical and critical thinking skills to investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve reconciliation issues effectively.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel: Competency with Excel functions such as VLOOKUP, SUMIF, Pivot Tables for data analysis and manipulation.
- Strong Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written English communication for interacting with clients, data providers, and internal teams to resolve issues and provide updates.
- Organizational Skills: Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize daily deadlines, and maintain organized documentation.
- Computer Proficiency: General strong computer skills and familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite.
- Teamwork & Collaboration: Capability to work effectively within a team environment and seek support when needed.
- Proactive Learning & Adaptability: A willingness to learn new internal tools and processes, adapt to changing workflows, and continuously improve.
Responsibilities:
- Daily Data Reconciliation: Reconcile investment portfolio transactions and holdings with data received from various external providers using Clearwater’s proprietary web-based system.
- Ensure Data Accuracy & Timeliness: Meet daily deadlines for reviewing, updating, and delivering accurate and detailed portfolio status updates to clients.
- Investigate Discrepancies: Proactively investigate and take action on identified issues or discrepancies within the reconciliation system, applying problem-solving skills.
- Client & Provider Communication: Effectively communicate with external data providers, clients, and internal service delivery managers to submit inquiries, resolve issues, and provide timely updates.
- Relationship Management: Build and maintain valuable professional relationships with data providers, clients, and internal stakeholders to facilitate smooth operations.
- Apply Financial Concepts: Utilize an understanding of investment, financial, and accounting concepts (e.g., GAAP/IFRS) to troubleshoot and resolve reconciliation errors.
- Contribute to Process Improvement: Identify and act on opportunities to streamline workflows and provide feedback to product teams on internal projects for system enhancements.
- Internal Tool Proficiency: Develop familiarity and competency with Clearwater’s internal tools and processes.
- Support and Collaboration: Work collaboratively within the team, seeking support from mentors and department experts as needed, and potentially providing support to other analysts as experience grows.

Education requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree: A mandatory requirement, typically in a finance-related or analytical field.
- Relevant Fields: Degrees in Accounting, Finance, Business, Mathematics, or other analytical disciplines are highly preferred.
- Basic Finance & Accounting Concepts: Education should provide a foundational understanding of investment, financial statements, and various accounting concepts.
- Knowledge of GAAP/IFRS (Advantageous): Familiarity with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and/or International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) is a significant plus.
- Understanding of Security Types: Educational background that includes an understanding of different standard security types (e.g., stocks, bonds).
