Job Description :
Cloud Destinations is hiring SysOps Engineers to manage and optimize cloud infrastructure, primarily on AWS. You’ll be responsible for deploying, maintaining, and troubleshooting highly available and fault-tolerant systems. This involves implementing automation, monitoring performance, ensuring security, and contributing to disaster recovery strategies. Collaboration with development teams, resolving incidents, and driving continuous improvement in cloud operations are also key aspects of this role.
Minimum Qualifications:
•B.E./B.Tech (IT, CSE, ECE) or MCA/M.Sc (CSE) degree, with 3-5 years of experience in cloud operations and system administration, preferably on AWS, and a strong understanding of Linux, networking, scripting (e.g., Python, Bash), and cloud security.

Skills/experience:
- Cloud Platform Expertise (AWS Focus): In-depth experience with AWS services (EC2, S3, RDS, VPC, CloudWatch, Lambda, IAM, etc.) including deployment, management, and troubleshooting.
- Linux System Administration: Strong command-line proficiency, experience with operating system management, user management, file systems, and performance tuning on Linux environments.
- Scripting and Automation: Proficiency in scripting languages like Python and/or Bash for automating routine tasks, infrastructure provisioning, and operational workflows.
- Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Hands-on experience with tools like AWS CloudFormation or Terraform for defining, deploying, and managing infrastructure programmatically.
- Monitoring and Logging: Expertise in setting up and managing monitoring solutions (e.g., AWS CloudWatch, Prometheus, Grafana) and centralized logging systems for proactive issue detection and analysis.
- Networking Fundamentals: Solid understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, VPNs, routing, subnets, security groups, NACLs, and load balancing concepts in a cloud environment.
- Security and Compliance: Knowledge of cloud security best practices, IAM policies, encryption, and compliance frameworks (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA, PCI-DSS).
- CI/CD & DevOps Practices: Familiarity with Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment pipelines and DevOps principles for efficient software delivery and operations.
- Troubleshooting & Problem Solving: Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills to diagnose and resolve complex infrastructure and application issues under pressure.
Responsibilities:
- Cloud Infrastructure Management: Deploy, maintain, and manage scalable, highly available, and fault-tolerant systems and infrastructure primarily on AWS.
- Automation & Scripting: Develop and implement automation scripts (Python, Bash) and utilize IaC tools (CloudFormation, Terraform) to streamline operational tasks and infrastructure provisioning.
- Monitoring & Alerting: Configure, optimize, and respond to alerts from monitoring and logging systems (e.g., CloudWatch, Prometheus) to ensure system health and performance.
- Troubleshooting & Incident Resolution: Diagnose and resolve complex operational issues, system outages, and performance bottlenecks in a timely manner.
- Security Implementation: Implement and enforce security best practices, access controls (IAM), data encryption, and network security policies within the cloud environment.
- Performance Optimization: Continuously monitor and analyze system performance metrics, identifying areas for optimization and cost reduction.
- Backup & Disaster Recovery: Design, implement, and test backup and disaster recovery strategies to ensure business continuity.
- Collaboration & Support: Work closely with development, QA, and security teams to support application deployments, migrations, and troubleshoot production issues.
- Documentation & Process Improvement: Create and maintain detailed operational documentation and contribute to the continuous improvement of cloud operations processes and procedures.

Education requirements:
- Degree Level: Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree.
- Specific Degrees: B.E. / B.Tech or MCA / M.Sc.
- Relevant Streams: Information Technology (IT), Computer Science Engineering (CSE), Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE), or Computer Science (for M.Sc).
- Field of Study: Focus on Computer Science, Information Technology, or a closely related technical field.
- Academic Foundation: Strong foundational knowledge in operating systems (especially Linux), networking, and computer architecture.
- Relevant Coursework: Demonstrated understanding of cloud computing concepts, virtualization, and cybersecurity through coursework or projects.
- Certifications (Highly Preferred): AWS Certifications (e.g., AWS Certified SysOps Administrator – Associate, AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate) are a significant advantage.
- Continuous Learning: Eagerness to continuously learn and adapt to new cloud technologies and industry best practices.
