Job Description :

As an Associate Software Engineer at EY, you will contribute to the design, development, and implementation of innovative software solutions for global clients. This involves active participation in the full software development lifecycle, applying industry best practices in coding, testing, and deployment. You’ll collaborate with global teams across various business units, troubleshoot, and work with diverse technologies, including cloud, data analytics, and emerging tech. Skills/experience:

• Programming Language Proficiency: Strong understanding and practical experience in one or more languages like Java, .NET (C#), or Python.
• Database Fundamentals: Basic knowledge of databases such as SQL, Oracle, or Teradata, including the ability to write and understand queries.
• Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC): Good understanding of the various phases of SDLC and software development best practices.
• Object-Oriented Programming (OOP): Solid grasp of OOP concepts.
• Data Structures and Algorithms (DSA): Foundational knowledge of common data structures and algorithmic thinking.
• Agile Methodology: Familiarity with Agile principles and experience in a Scrum or similar agile environment.
• Problem-Solving & Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze complex problems, apply logical reasoning, and propose innovative solutions.
• Collaboration & Teamwork: Strong interpersonal skills, ability to work effectively in a team, and communicate technical ideas clearly.
• Internship/Project Experience: Any hands-on project or internship experience in a relevant technology domain is a significant advantage.

Responsibilities:

• Software Development: Participating in the full software development lifecycle, from requirements gathering and analysis to design, coding, testing, deployment, and maintenance.
• Code Quality: Writing clean, efficient, well-documented, and maintainable code adhering to industry best practices.
• Testing: Performing unit, integration, and functional testing to ensure software reliability, scalability, and security.
• Troubleshooting & Debugging: Identifying, analyzing, and resolving software defects and issues.
• Collaboration: Working closely with cross-functional teams, including business analysts, designers, and quality assurance specialists.
• Client Solutions: Contributing to the development and implementation of innovative technology solutions for diverse clients.

Education requirements:

• Degree: A Bachelor’s (BE/B.Tech) or Master’s degree (ME/M.Tech/MCA/MSC) is generally required.
• Specialization: Degrees in Computer Science, Information Technology, or other “circuit branches” (e.g., Electronics & Communication Engineering, Electrical & Electronics Engineering) are preferred.
• Academic Performance: A consistent academic record is often emphasized, typically requiring a minimum of 60% or a 6.0/6.5 CGPA throughout 10th, 12th, and graduation.
• No Active Backlogs: Candidates should not have any active backlogs at the time of application.
• Relevant Coursework: Completion of coursework related to programming, data structures, algorithms, databases, and software engineering principles.
• Projects/Internships (Advantageous): While not always a strict requirement for freshers, having academic projects or an internship in a relevant technology domain is a significant advantage.
• Foundational Understanding: A strong foundational understanding of software development best practices and the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) is expected.
