Job Description :
As a Software Development Engineer at AMD’s Hyderabad office, you will contribute to the development of software that powers AMD’s GPU, CPU, or AI accelerator platforms. You will work on low-level systems programming, GPU driver development, performance analysis tools, or software optimization frameworks using C, C++, and Python. Eligibility Criteria :
- Educational Qualification: B.E. / B.Tech or M.Tech in Computer Science or Computer Engineering
- Batch Year: 2024, 2025, and 2026 graduating batches eligible
- Academic Performance: Strong academic background; minimum 65% or 6.5 CGPA preferred
- Technical Skills: Strong programming skills in C and C++; knowledge of Python; understanding of computer architecture, operating systems, and GPU computing concepts is an advantage

Key Responsibilities :
- Systems Software Development: Design and implement software components for AMD GPU and CPU ecosystems using C and C++, including drivers, firmware interfaces, and runtime libraries.
- GPU Computing: Work on GPU software stacks including ROCm, HIP, or OpenCL frameworks to enable high-performance compute applications on AMD hardware.
- Performance Analysis: Profile, benchmark, and optimize software performance on AMD hardware platforms using profiling tools and micro-architecture insights.
- Debugging & Testing: Write comprehensive unit tests, integration tests, and system-level tests; identify and debug complex hardware-software interface issues.
- Python Tooling: Develop automation scripts, build tools, test harnesses, and data analysis pipelines using Python to accelerate the software development process.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with hardware architects, firmware engineers, and product managers across global AMD teams to deliver features aligned with product roadmaps.
- Documentation: Maintain technical specifications, design documents, and API references for developed software components.
