Flex Hiring Freshers For Junior Engineer (GBS Engineering) Position:
Job Description :
As a Junior Engineer at Flex, you will be responsible for the critical Engineering Change Order (ECO) process. Your primary goal is to ensure that all changes to product designs, parts masters, and specifications are documented accurately and implemented across the system. This involves constant maintenance of Bills of Material (BOM), parts drawings, and process alerts to ensure manufacturing alignment with customer requirements.
A typical day involves coordinating ECO statuses with customers, implementing cost changes, and managing effective dates for new product configurations. You will act as a vital link between Program Managers, Engineering, Manufacturing, and Materials teams. This role requires a high level of mathematical proficiency to handle tasks like frequency distribution, variance analysis, and sampling theory to maintain test reliability and document validity.
Key Responsibilities :
- Create, implement, and finalize Engineering Change Orders (ECOs) within the system.
- Perform file maintenance for Bills of Material (BOMs), parts drawings, and specifications.
- Coordinate ECO implementation with customers, including cost changes and effective dates.
- Ensure all projects comply with global document control policies and procedures.
- Track and manage product configurations to meet both manufacturing and customer needs.
- Analyze technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form to define problems and facts.
- Maintain data accuracy across logs, reports, and distribution networks.
- Interface between cross-functional teams to ensure all engineering changes are documented.
Skills & Eligibility :
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (B.E/B.Tech) in a related technical field.
- Experience: Freshers with a strong academic background are encouraged to apply.
- Mathematical Skills: Proficiency in advanced concepts like quadratic equations, permutations, and factor analysis.
- Analytical: Ability to apply correlation techniques, variance analysis, and sampling theory to engineering data.
- Logical Reasoning: Strong ability to define problems, collect data, and draw valid conclusions.
- Attention to Detail: Exceptional focus on data accuracy and completeness of documentation.
- Communication: Good interpersonal skills for coordinating between various global departments.
